Is same-sex marriage legal in every state?
Yes. Same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 U.S. states, and your Utah marriage is recognized the same as any other marriage.
Is an online same-sex wedding legally binding?
Yes. Your license is issued by Utah County and your marriage is recorded there, so you receive an official Utah marriage certificate.
Can our officiant use the words we choose?
Absolutely. Tell us how you’d like to be addressed and pronounced, and your officiant will use your words throughout the ceremony.
What if we live outside the U.S.?
Recognition of same-sex marriage varies by country. If you plan to register your marriage abroad or use it for immigration, we recommend speaking with a qualified attorney first. We are not attorneys and can’t give legal advice.
Can family and friends watch?
Yes. Guests can join the video call, or add our livestream and personal wedding page so everyone can watch from anywhere.
