DESTINATION WEDDINGS
A beach in Mexico, a piazza in Rome, a mountaintop close to home. Bring the people who matter most, let everyone else join live online, and skip the foreign marriage paperwork. Your marriage is legally recorded in the U.S.
OUR FOUNDER’S WEDDING IN ROME · WATCH
HOW IT WORKS
01
Each of you completes your own part of the Utah County application online, anytime and from anywhere, together or separately. No foreign marriage license, translations or local paperwork.
02
Sunrise on the beach or sunset over the city. We officiate 24/7 in any time zone and just need at least 6 hours’ notice.
03
Bring a phone or laptop with a steady connection. Your officiant joins live, your guests on location celebrate beside you, everyone else watches from home, and you’re legally married.
WHY A LOVELIFE DESTINATION WEDDING
Skip foreign marriage applications, translations and local requirements. Your license comes from Utah County, wherever you’re traveling.
Wherever in the world you say “I do,” you receive an official Utah marriage certificate.
Bring the people who matter most to you, and let everyone else join live online. Your day stays intimate, and all your loved ones are still part of it.
No big venue contracts and no flying the whole guest list overseas. A small group with you, a big celebration online, somewhere you love.
Our founder married his wife in Rome with about 20 loved ones beside them and several hundred more watching online. We know how special it is, and we shape every ceremony around your story.
PLANNING TIPS
A few things our couples have learned along the way.
01
Your Utah County application is online, so you can complete it whenever it suits you, from home or from your trip. Each of you can do your part from wherever you are.
02
Hotel Wi‑Fi can be unpredictable. Do a quick video test at your spot, and keep a phone hotspot as a backup.
03
Book in your local time and we’ll be there. Golden hour is a favorite for photos.
04
Some beaches, parks and landmarks require a permit for ceremonies or professional photos. A quick check with your hotel or the location avoids surprises.
05
Add our livestream and personal wedding page so family and friends can watch live from anywhere.
06
If you’ll register your marriage in another country, you may need an apostille. We can arrange it when you book or anytime after.
FAQ
Is a destination online wedding legally binding?
Yes. Your license is issued by Utah County and your marriage is recorded there, so you receive an official Utah marriage certificate no matter where in the world you say “I do.”
Do we need a marriage license from the country we’re visiting?
No. Your marriage is performed under Utah law, so you apply online with Utah County. You don’t need a foreign marriage license, translations or local marriage paperwork.
Can our family and friends watch?
Yes. Bring the people closest to you, and everyone else can join live from wherever they are. Add a livestream and personal wedding page so friends and family everywhere can share in the moment.
What do we need on the day?
A phone or laptop with a camera and a steady internet connection. Your two witnesses can be guests there with you or join by video, or we can provide them.
Will our marriage be recognized when we get home?
U.S. states generally recognize marriages that were legally valid where they were performed. If you live outside the U.S., you may need an apostille to register your marriage there, and we can help with that.
